Who is Olivia Yao
The creative genius behind these remarkable items is Olivia Yao, the founder of Olivia Yao Jewellery. Her story is one marked by a global perspective and an extraordinarily refined sense of taste. Olivia earned her Master of Arts in Jewellery Design at the School of Jewellery in Birmingham, England. In the early years of her career, she worked for a number of jewelry suppliers in London’s High Street. But it wasn’t long before her unique aesthetic called her to strike out on her own. She returned to Taiwan where she was born, and launched her company in 2013.
“Most of the jewelry you see in shops that is made with precious gemstones is very expensive and not suitable for daily styling,” Olivia says. “I wanted to create a certain style that a woman can wear in her daily life and that she can switch from time to time to fit into different occasions.”
