Marine Layer Brick with Tan Contrast Varsity Rib Polo

This Marine Layer polo hits that sweet spot between classic and fun. The brick red body with the tan/cream varsity rib on the collar and sleeves gives it a unique, slightly retro vibe—I even got a few compliments calling it a 70’s look. The Johnny collar and raglan sleeves keep it casual but polished, and the lightweight knit in a cotton–modal blend feels really comfortable on. The overall quality feels solid, and the material and fit worked well for me. Fit-wise, it wears like a classic/regular fit and, for me, felt true to size. I liked how it sat through the shoulders and chest without being tight, and the length was easy to wear untucked. Style-wise, it’s not something I normally grab, but the contrast details made it a standout in the best way. Just a couple of notes: fit can vary by body type—some folks mentioned sleeves feeling snug in the biceps or the length/shoulders not landing perfectly. The open V of the Johnny collar looks clean on its own, but it may not play nicely with an undershirt. And while most people were happy with the build, a few called out minor quality hiccups like some pilling over time. All in, a comfortable, distinctive polo that gets noticed without trying too hard.
